Man dead, woman hospitalized after domestic shooting in southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood, deputies say

Miami-Dade deputies are investigating a shooting in a southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood that left a man dead and a woman critically injured on Thursday morning. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, the call came in about the shooting near Southwest 154th Avenue and 148th Street, near Miami Executive Airport.Detective Daniel Castillo, the Sheriff's Office public information officer, said that upon deputies arriving, they discovered a man and woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and declared the man dead. MDFR transported the woman to Jackson South Medical Center, where she is in critical condition. Debbie Sullivan, who has lived in the neighborhood just west of Country Walk for more than 30 years, told CBS News Miami she was stunned by the violence in her community."It's shocking. I've been in this community 30-plus years. You've heard of little break-ins but never anything to this extreme, something like this happening
