After two decades in the Minneapolis North Loop neighborhood, the owners of a longtime bar have announced that they are closing up shop next month. The Loop Minneapolis posted on social media this week that they are ending operations on Nov. 29. Owners did not say what influenced their decision to close but they said it was a difficult move to make. “As this 20th year comes to an end, we have decided that it’s time for someone else to take over this amazing space, in the heart of the beloved North Loop Neighborhood,” the restaurant said in a statement. Restaurant owners pointed to the growth that the neighborhood has seen over the past 20 years saying that it was fortunate to have “one of the first seats at the party” as the North Loop transformed into one of Minneapolis’ most popular destinations. The post on social media went on to thank customers and employees throughout the years for their support and effort. Patrons are being encouraged to stop in one last time
